Little Things- One Direction 

      Everyone has something they're not happy with with themselves whether it's  your body, the way you laugh, or just your looks. Everyone has their insecurities, and this song is about just that. Imagine: the little details about yourself that you hate the most, someone else loves the most about you. Doesn't that sound great? That's how love is supposed to be.

But I'll love them endlessly"

      You might not know it, but someone admires everything about you. You aren't perfect, but no one is, and as long as you realize that, then you're fine. It's normal to be self-conscious, but don't let it overwhelm you. You were born that way, and you shouldn't hate yourself for it. Someone will come along at the right time and show you how to love those little things you hate.

More Than This- One Direction

 

       Believe it or not, you matter to a lot of people. That's what I'm writing this post about. Sometimes people feel like they are worthless. Honestly, that is true for me, too. Sometimes it feels like I'm ignored by my "friends" and left out of a lot of things. But the truth is, you are always wanted around. Like my dad always told me, even if i think that I'm worthless, there is at least one person who is too scared to tell me about their feelings for me.

The boys in One Direction are showing their feelings for a girl that doesnt know about their feelings for her. If a girl knew how many boys liked her, it would boost her self esteem A LOT. Honestly, if I knew at least one boy who liked me more than a friend, I'd feel really good, even if I didnt like him back. Think about it...

"Let's go crazy, crazy, crazy till we see the sun. I know we only met but let's pretend it's love. Tonight let's get some and live while we're young."  

This new song by 1D is becoming very popular, very fast. It seems that people are getting into their faster, more upbeat songs, which is good. Live Like We're Young is already ranked as one of their best songs, along with What Makes You Beautiful, One Thing, and More Than This. 

This song is mostly about sneaking out and doing crazy things because YOLO (you only live once), right?! This is a lot of peoples' motto these days. I like to joke around with the term, but when it comes to doing stupid things, i do not take it seriously. 

"Why should I drink and drive? Oh yeah, YOLO." No. If I only live once, I want to live it right and not die sooner than I should. Although I like the song and it is great to drive around town with the windows down blasting it through the radio, I don't agree with it's message.  

Yes, you only live once, but you should only have to live it once.

Do it right the first time. 

Zayn Malik

Zayn Malik

 Zain Javaad Malik was born in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England. He is 19 years old and his birthday is on January 12, 1993. His father is Pakistani and his mother is English, so Zayn is British Pakistani. He also has 3 sisters, Doniya, Waliyha, and Safaa. 

Zayn grew up in East Bowling, and attended 3 schools before he felt comfortable going there. He says he was bullied at school because of his race/ethnicity. The third school he and his sister moved to, they felt much more accepted and confident in themselves and they started embracing their ethnicity.

Zayn likes urban music and, in his younger years, liked R&B and rap music. Like other members of One Direction, he also likes Bruno Mars. 

Although Zayn is addicted to smoking cigarettes, he has expressed his desire to stop in 2011.

 



Niall Horan

On September 13, 1993, Niall James Horan was welcomed into this world by Maura Gallagher and Bobby Horan. Maura and Bobby already had a child named Greg, Niall's older brother, when Niall was born. When he was 5 years old, they got a divorce. For a few years, Niall and Greg lived in between both of their parents' homes until they permanently moved in with their father.

Unlike the other members of One Direction, who were born and live in the U.K, Niall was born and raised in the Republic of Ireland. He embraces his home land and loves where he's from. He's also pointed out easily from the other boys in the band because of his hair. It's blonde. Who doesn't love an attractive blonde-haired pop star?!

Niall has loved to play music since he was really little. He picked up guitar during his elementary days, and still plays it often. Obviously, he is a singer, but he sung a lot before One Direction, and before he auditioned for the X Factor. He used to go around his homeland and perform for people. 

Niall is a big "swing" music fan. He's always loved music by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Michael Bublé. When he met Michael, Niall said he was speechless and could barely breathe. We all have our own fans.

Liam Payne

The 19 year old, Liam James Payne, was born on August 29, 1993 in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, England. He was born three weeks early to his mother Karen and father Geoff. He also has two older sisters, Ruth and Nicola.

As a child, Liam had kidney problems because it was scarred and disfunctional. He had 32 injections in his arm every day and night for the pain. Although he had these health problems, he was a big athlete and really into sports in Secondary School. He started to get bullied, though, so he took up boxing.

Liam says one of his biggest influences is Justin Timberlake.

Liam is in a relationship with a dancer named Danielle Peazer. She's performed for various acts. Although she is definately a lucky girl, she has recieved multiple death threats because of their relationship. People can be so crazy nowadays.. 



I Want This, I Want That

I Want - One Direction

The song "I Want" by One Direction is ranked their #9 song that they've written so far. The song is not written about themselves though. When I first heard the song, I thought they were singing about what they wanted. I thought they were being greedy and was upset about it. Then I listened a little closer. They were actually talking about how girls keep wanting things. 

Some girls just aren't happy with what they have. They keep wanting more and more. I would feel very upset if I was a boy and my girlfriend kept wanting more than she had. As a girl, sometimes I do get jealous about what other girls  have, but then I realize that I have what I need to get by, and that's all that really matters. 

The boys sing about how the girl keeps wanting shoes, clothes, jewelry, etc. They are being driven crazy. That girl that they are singing about, if she's real, needs to CHILL. I'm positive that that girl, if she's real, has a lot more than me and my family. It's not about what you want, it's about what you have. Being risen as a pastor's daughter, I realize that I can't always have what I want, and I'm okay with that. Maybe some people aren't so down-to-earth. 

It doesn't matter what you have. Materials won't make you happy.

The happiest people in life are the ones who make the best out of what they have.

Louis Tomlinson

Born in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England, Louis William Tomlinson, born as Louis Troy Austin, had an early career as a child actor. Louis was born on December 24, 1991 to his mother Johannah Poulston and his father Troy Austin. They split when he was really young, so he ended up taking his step-father's last name: Tomlinson.

 Louis has 5 younger half-sisters, two of whom were on the TV show Fat Friends. After not doing too well at the Hayfield school, he switched to Hall Cross school and ended up in several musicals. He also had a number of jobs, including at a movie theater and as a waiter in hospitality suites at a football stadium. 

As many know, One Direction auditioned for the X-Factor, and came in 3rd place! Louis Tomlinson was inspired to audition for the X-Factor because he was the star role, Danny Zuko, in his high school musical Grease.

Now, ladies, don't get too "twitterpated," because Louis has a girlfriend. Upsetting, right?!? She is a Manchester University politics and sociology student, Eleanor Calder. She is definitely a very lucky lady.

"Get out of my head, and fall into my arms instead."  I seems as though these boys are thinking of girls all the time. As many people know, One Thing is also a very popular song by One Direction. This up-beat love song is extremely catchy and has many girl singing it around the globe. 

This song features each boy at his finest. They each have solos and do amazing jobs at singing them, too. 

Liam starts it off a little quiet when he says:"I've tried playin' it cool, but when I'm lookin' at you I can't ever be brave, 'cause you make my heart race." Somehow, this starts it all off on a great foot. He wants this girl to know how amazing she is to him, even though he gets nervous around her. 

Then Harry takes off with his part of the song, which speeds up a little. He sings "Shot me outta the sky; you're my kryptonite. You keep makin' me weak, frozen and can't breathe." This part, and the way it's sung, should make a girl feel really special. If a boy came up to me and said that he can barely breathe when he talks to me, that might make my hyperventilate.   
Zayn then starts singing "something's gotta give now, 'cause I'm dyin' just to make you see that i need you here with me now, 'cause you've got that one thing." So cute! (:
After the chorus, which all the boys sing, Niall takes off with saying "now I'm climbing the walls, but you don't notice at all that I'm going out of my mind all day and all night." This is cray-cray. not only is he going crazy for her, but he wants her to see him too!  
At the end, Louis gets a slow solo, which repeats what is sung before. He sings it in a lower voice, which might make some girls' skin crawl.

Born on February 1, 1994, the beautiful Harry Edward Styles came into this world. Harry is the youngest member of One Direction, but in my opinion, the most attractive and funniest!

Harry Styles has 4 nipples. Weird, but true. Doctors think that, while developing in the womb, a second baby started to develop, but never did all the way, obviously. So now Harry has that baby's nipples. Strange..  

When Harry was 7 years old, his father and mother divorced each other, and Harry and his sister, Gemma, moved in with their mother. She ended up remarrying, so now Harry and Gemma have a stepfather. Gemma is 20, 2 years older than Harry.

Hopefully One Direction continues as an amazing boy band, and fade out gently, and not end in tragedy, or a breakup. One Direction is THE band of the 21st century.

One Direction is a famous boy band from the UK. It is composed of Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson. One of their first extremely popular songs was "What Makes You Beautiful," which appealed to millions of girls, making them feel beautiful and appreciated. Personally, I could listen to this song all the time, because I love it. Not just what is said and meant in the lyrics, but the tune and their voices are extremely appealing, also.

To a girl, listening to 5 very attractive teen boys sing to her about how she doesn't need to wear make up to make her pretty, it would probably make her feel very important. When a girl feels upset, or self-conscious, she is worrying about everything: her clothes, hair, friends, make up, etc. In this song, the boys say "when you smile at the ground it ain't hard to tell... you don't know you're beautiful." If this was said to a girl, it would probably make her day. You never know. Maybe you should try giving someone a compliment. Guys, try telling a girl her hair looks nice, or you enjoy talking to her. Girls, maybe tell a guy you think he's really funny. A small compliment can go a long way. You don't have to be popular to get someone's attention, you just have to be nice.
